Kieron O'Brien

Chief Executive Officer, Board Member

Kieron O’Brien is the chief executive officer of ExpertMarkets. In this capacity, Kieron plays a vital role in company's strategy, direction and development.

Over the past 12 years, Kieron has been active as a C-level executive, advisor or board member of multiple early and middle stage technology companies covering the Internet, VoIP, Software Products, and Corporate Services industries. Most recently, he was the Founder and CEO of PacketExchange, Ltd, which he grew into a leading Global Internet Infrastructure and Content Delivery Network provider winning numerous awards including “Deloitte Technology Fast50”, Red Herring’s “Europe 100” and recognized by the Sunday Times (London) “Tech Track 100” as the 14th fastest growing technology company in the United Kingdom. Kieron was responsible for raising multiple rounds of capital in addition to leading PacketExchange’s expansion into Europe, Asia and the United States through a strategy of growing organically and through acquisition. Prior to starting PacketExchange, Ltd, Kieron was Chief Technology Officer for Level 3 Communications in Europe where he directed a multi-billion dollar capital expenditure and operating budget. Before this he followed a successful R&D career in digital and optical networking equipment with a successful business development role at Alcatel where he brought in more than $500 million of contracts. Kieron received an education in Electronics and Software Engineering in the British Army.

Keith Taylor

Chief Financial Officer

Keith Taylor is the chief financial officer for ExpertMarkets. Being a senior executive with more than 25 years of experience in information technology industry, Keith manages financial strategy and ensures financial long-term success of the company.

Prior to joining ExpertMarkets, Keith was an interim chief financial officer for Magellan Navigation, Inc., $600M+ Consumer GPS manufacturer, and partner with Tatum Partners, LLC, a professional organization for interim chief financial officers with over 700 CFO partners throughout the US and Canada. Previous positions include CFO for Encover, Inc., (Service Contract Revenue Management Software solutions, funded by Baird, Doll Capital, and Sigma Partners), for Topio (Sequoia Capital/Sigma Partners software technology company, acquired by Network Appliance), Page Systems (FiberOptic Mfg Company funded by Bear Gold and later acquired by HonHai/Taiwan), BrassRing Inc., (Internet and Software company funded by Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Gannett News, and Accel Partners, later acquired by Kanexa), and CareerCentral (Internet e-cruitment company, funded by Questmark, Softbank, Arthur Rock, TCV, acquired by Spencer Stuart).

Earlier in his career Keith spent 5 years as a VP of Finance, Division CFO for Adecco N.A. ($15B global staffing/HR Consulting company), nearly 10 years at Apple Computer, and started his career in public accounting at Ernst & Young LLP, where he earned his CPA and CISA designations. Keith holds his MBA from San Jose State University, and his BSBA from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo.

Thom Race

Vice President, Business Development

Thom Race has more than 20 years experience developing and implementing investment and expansion strategies for early-stage technology companies throughout the United States, Asia / Pacific and European regions. His expertise includes joint venture development, technology licensing, Mergers & Acquisitions and organic expansion in the technology, consumer electronics, alternative energy and insurance industries.

Most recently Thom was Managing Director at Pintoresco Advisors, LLC – a Los Angeles based boutique investment bank specializing in international mergers, acquisitions and capital raising. Prior to this he was responsible for corporate strategy and M&A analysis for the European operations of a US based telecommunications firm. Prior to his business career, Mr. Race served as a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Race received his BS degree in Accounting from Oakland University and has a Masters degree in Finance and Economics from the JL Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
